Recipe Tips

Before you sprint to the kitchen to make these lemon pepper wings in the air fryer, read through these recipe tips so that you know what to expect!

 • It’s best to use split wings – aka drumettes and wingettes. The size of the wings will influence cooking time.

 • The spice blend on these wings is a classic lemon pepper seasoning which can be found at many grocery stores. We don’t usually add any additional seasoning, but if your lemon pepper seasoning doesn’t contain much salt and you like it salty, you can add an additional sprinkle of salt.

 • When making these wings, watch them towards the end of the cooking time. You want the wings to be fully cooked through but burning the outside of the wing. A little charring is tasty and normal – too much is just burnt.

 • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer when cooking chicken wings. Otherwise they might not get as crispy as they could. If you can’t fit 1 pound of chicken wings into your air fryer without overlap, cook them in two batches.
