Air fryer corn on the cob is a great alternative to boiled or grilled corn. It is an easy, no-fuss way to make tender corn with lightly crisp edges – all you need is some oil, salt, and pepper.
This corn on the cob pairs well with grilled summer meats and is also a great vegetable side for lots of different lunches and dinners.

Ingredients
- Ears of Corn – Use ears with firm, plump kernels and vibrant green husks. Avoid ears with dry husks
- Oil – We use avocado oil, but vegetable oil, canola oil, or similar also works.
- Salt – Add to taste.
- Pepper – We like to use freshly cracked pepper for the best taste.
- Butter – Optional for serving. We usually don’t add butter, but lots of people like to.
Recipe Tips
- Make sure to shuck the corn really well. It just tastes better without lots of small silk strands stuck to the cooked corn.
- We recommend coating the corn with a little bit of oil before air frying, but there is no need to overdo it! Just a light spray or 1/2 teaspoon of oil per ear of corn will be enough.
- We only add salt and pepper to the corn, but you can change up the seasoning if you like – or skip them completely.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer so the corn can cook evenly.
- The corn is really hot when it comes out of the air fryer, so let it cool slightly before enjoying.

Step-by-Step Instructions
First, make sure your corn is shucked well. Also, make sure that the corn fits into your air fryer basket. If it doesn’t, you can trim the ends or cut the corn in half.

Place the ears of corn on a plate, then rub or spray with oil. Then season the corn with salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit (195 degrees Celsius). Once the air fryer is hot, place the corn in the air fryer and cook for approximately 13-15 minutes, or until tender.

Rotate the corn about halfway through the cooking time. The exact cooking time can vary depending on your air fryer and the size of the corn.
For slightly more “grilled” corn, you can leave it in for an extra minute or two.

Remove the cooked corn from the air fryer and season with more salt and/or pepper, if desired. Serve as a side dish with butter (optional).
Storage Tips
You can store leftover corn on the cob in a sealed container or in aluminum foil in the fridge. Just make sure to let the corn cool first. It’ll last for up to 3-5 days, but eat it sooner rather than later.
To reheat, you can toss the corn on the cob back in the air fryer. The microwave will also work.
