Looking for a meaty little appetizer that is easy to make? Air fryer frozen sausage rolls are a must-try!
These frozen sausage rolls in the air fryer turn out crispy on the outside, hot on the inside, and are great for dipping!

Recipe Tips
Before you air fry frozen sausage rolls, have a read through these few tips:
- You don’t need to defrost the sausage rolls first. Just add them to the air fryer from frozen.
- There’s no need to spray the frozen sausage rolls with extra oil. The pastry usually already contains oil.
- We made mini sausage rolls in the air fryer. If you have larger sausage rolls, you cooking time is likely to be slightly longer. In that case, you’ll also have to cook fewer sausage rolls at a time so that they have space to cook and expand in the air fryer.
- No matter the size, make sure that the sausage rolls reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Since sausage rolls are made with a flaky pastry crust, be sure to keep an eye on your rolls so that they don’t go from perfectly crispy to burnt – it can happen quickly!

Step by Step Instructions
If you want to know exactly how to make mini frozen sausage rolls in the air fryer, you can have a look at the steps below.
If you don’t care for visuals, you can skip below to the recipe card. We’ll make larger sausage rolls in the air fryer in the near future and update the post as necessary!

First, preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once the air fryer is hot, add the frozen sausage rolls in one even layer.
Keep in mind that they will expand a bit during cooking (because of the pastry) so leave enough space between them.

Air fry the frozen sausage rolls at 370 degrees Fahrenheit for 9-12 minutes until fully cooked (this is for mini sausage rolls).
Flip the sausage rolls halfway through cooking time.
Larger sausage rolls will need longer to cook the center and crisp the pastry. Either way, the internal temperature should be 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Your exact cooking time can vary by brand of sausage rolls and your air fryer.

When done cooking, remove the sausage rolls from the air fryer and let them sit for 2 minutes. Then serve and enjoy! We liked dipping them into some Dijon mustard.
Storage Tips
Once you have air-fried frozen sausage rolls, they are best enjoyed hot and fresh. You can place any leftovers in a sealed container and store them in the fridge.
Properly stored, they will last for up to 3 days. However, they will likely not be as good as when they are fresh.
You can reheat these sausage rolls in the air fryer for a few minutes until hot.
Of course, you can also use the microwave, but then the sausage rolls might get a little soggy.

I am new to using an airfryer and will appreciate tips and recipes to become confident in cooking in an airfryer.
Welcome to the world of air frying, Jan! I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it quickly. Starting with simple recipes like potatoes, veggies, or frozen foods is a great way to get familiar with your air fryer (they all cook a little differently) and build your confidence. You’ll also find that not every recipe is necessarily better in the air fryer (for example, I still prefer pan-fried grilled cheese). One of the biggest tips I can share is not to overcrowd your air fryer basket if you want the food to get crispy. We have lots of beginner friendly recipes on the website and feel free to reach out via email if you have any specific questions!
