- The puff pastry will expand when being cooked. That’s why it is important to leave some room between the pigs in a blanket when placing them into the air fryer.
- Keep an eye on them closer to the end of cooking time. The puff pastry should be lightly browned and “puffed” but not deeply golden brown – this might indicate the pastry has been cooked too long.
- Since every air fryer is different, you cooking time may vary a tad. If you cannot make this amount of pigs in blankets in your air fryer in one batch, consider two batches because they need room to expand.

First, preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once the air fryer is hot, add the frozen pigs in a blanket.

Cook the frozen pigs in their blankets for 6-9 minutes total. Flip them halfway through cooking but be gentle with them.
The cooking time can vary depending on your air fryer and the brand of frozen pigs in a blanket used.

When fully cooked and the pastry is looking lightly golden brown, remove the pigs in a blanket from the air fryer.
Serve them on their own or with a dipping sauce like ketchup!
Storage Tips
Since pigs in a blanket are best enjoyed hot and fresh, you should only cook as many as you require.
That said, any leftover pigs in a blanket can be stored in a sealed container and put in the fridge.
They will last for up to 3 days. However, don’t expect them to be as good as when they are fresh.
To reheat, we’d recommend the air fryer since the microwave might heat them but make them soggier as well.
