Cooked right from frozen, these samosas in the air fryer are crispy on the outside and packed with hot filling on the inside!
Recipe Tips
Before you make these frozen samosas in the air fryer, have a quick read through the recipe tips:
- You don’t need to defrost the samosas first – you can cook them right from frozen.
- Some frozen samosas contain oil in the outer pastry but if yours don’t (check the packaging) then you can spray your frozen samosas with a little bit of oil if desired.
- You cooking time can vary based on what kind of filling is in your frozen samosas, the size of the samosas, and your air fryer.
- Speaking of filling, make sure your samosas are fully cooked before removing them from the air fryer. Samosas with chicken filling for example will need to be thoroughly cooked to a temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step by Step Instructions
If you are wondering how to make frozen samosas in the air fryer, rest assured – it’s super easy! You can follow the recipe process photos in this section if you like visuals.
Otherwise, just skip to the bottom for the recipe card!
First, preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once the air fryer is hot, add the frozen samosas into the air fryer tray in one even layer. There should be some space between them.
If they don’t already contain oil in the pastry crust (many do – check the ingredients for your brand!), feel free to spray them with some oil spray.
Cook the frozen samosas at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-10 minutes total until fully cooked and lightly browned.
Flip them halfway through the cooking time. Make sure they are fully cooked through – especially if they contain meat. For chicken filling, the internal temperature should be 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
The exact cooking time will vary by air fryer, the brand of frozen samosas you use, and their size.
When done air frying, remove the cooked samosas and serve. Careful, they will be hot! Enjoy.
Storage Tips
Air-fried frozen samosas taste best when you enjoy them while they are hot and fresh. They tend to get soft as they cool off.
If you have leftovers, you can store them in a sealed container in the fridge. Just don’t expect them to get as crispy as if they were freshly made.
However, if you reheat them in the air fryer, they might get some of their crispiness back.
