  • Apples – Either 2 large or 3 smaller ones.
  • Avocado oil – You can also use canola oil, vegetable oil or another oil with neutral flavor. We don’t recommend extra virgin olive oil for this recipe.
  • Ground cinnamon – For extra flavor; add more or less to taste.
  • Granulated sugar – For a little extra sweetness; you can add more or less to taste or skip completely.

Recipe Tips

Before you dive into making these air fryer cinnamon apple slices, read through these recipe tips so that you have all the knowledge and achieve the best results!

  • We used Gala apples but other apples will work as well. We’d recommend a firmer apple so they keep their shape better, but this is personal preference.
  • Try cutting the apples into slices of similar thickness so they are done cooking at the same time.
  • You can add more or less sugar and cinnamon to suit your taste.
  • Don’t overcrowd your air fryer, otherwise the apple slices might not cook evenly.
  • If you want the apple slices to be very soft, you can increase the cooking time. Just keep an eye on them so they don’t burn.

Storage Tips

These apple slices don’t usually last long in our house. When we do have leftovers, we place them in a sealed container and store them in the fridge overnight.

The apple slices will last in the fridge for around 3 days. They may get softer over time, so we would recommend eating them sooner rather than later.

We often add ours to oatmeal the next morning.

If you want to reheat them, you can use the air fryer at 280 degrees Fahrenheit for a minute or two, or just use the microwave if you only have a couple left and don’t mind them getting softer.

What to Serve Air Fryer Apple Slices With

These apple slices are pretty versatile. We like eating them as a hot fruit snack or dessert when they were done – they are that good.

You can also eat them with creamy yogurt, sour cream, whipped cream, or even on ice cream. You can also toss them in your morning oatmeal or eat them with granola (and yogurt).

The flavor possibilities are endless… Okay, there are only so many things you can make – but it’s still a lot!
