  • Puff pastry – The dough for the cinnamon rolls.
  • Soft butter – To make the filling; adds extra flavor.
  • Brown sugar – To make the filling; adds sweetness.
  • Ground cinnamon – To enhance the flavor; added to the butter-sugar mixture.
  • Milk – To make the glaze that is drizzled over the rolls.
  • Powdered sugar – To make the glaze.

Recipe Tips

Making these cinnamon rolls in the air fryer is fairly straightforward but here are some recipe tips and tricks that you should know about before you start:

  • For convenience, you can use pre-made dough, e.g. puff pastry or special cinnamon roll dough. If you want to make the dough from scratch, you can follow this cinnamon roll recipe.
  • If you use frozen puff pastry, make sure that it is fully thawed but still cold.
  • Use soft (but not melted) butter. It will be easier to mix with the brown sugar and spread on the dough.
  • Leave some space between the cinnamon rolls when placing them in the air fryer. They will expand as they cook. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • The exact cooking time will vary depending on the size and thickness of the cinnamon rolls as well as your air fryer.
  • Instead of a simple glaze, you can also add a classic cream cheese frosting.
