Recipe Tips/Substitutions
Before you air fry frozen carrots, be sure to read through these recipe tips so that you know what to expect when you make them!
- We used simple seasonings including salt, pepper, and garlic pepper. You can change up the spices to suit your personal preferences.
- If you want these carrots sweeter, you could add a a little bit of honey (and optionally balsamic vinegar) when you add the oil.
- Your cooking time can vary because of a difference in air fryer, your brand of frozen carrots, and your desired level of tenderness. Crunchier carrots will take less time, softer carrots will need more time to cook.
- These carrots can get delicious – but don’t expect them to get as crispy as raw, fresh carrots in the air fryer. This is due to the extra moisture of the frozen carrots.
We use this air fryer for our recipes and it has been great.

Meanwhile, add the frozen carrots, oil, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper into a mixing bowl.

Gently toss everything until evenly coated in oil and spices.

When the air fryer is preheated, add the carrots into the air fryer. Distribute them so that they are in one even layer.

Air fry the frozen carrots at 385 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-14 minutes until tender.
The exact cooking time can vary slightly depending on the thickness of the carrots, your preferred level of firmness, and your air fryer.

When done cooking, remove the cooked carrots from the air fryer. Put them in a bowl and serve. Enjoy!
Storage Tips
If you have leftover air-fried carrots, you can store them in a sealed container in the fridge.
They might get a little softer over time so we’d recommend eating them within 2 days.
To reheat the cooked carrots, we’d suggest tossing them back in the air fryer for a few minutes!
