These air fryer peaches are a great summer dessert or sweet treat. You only need some peaches that are just ripe and a little sugar, cinnamon, and butter.
Making them in the air fryer is easy and perfect if you don’t have a grill. You can top them however you like and enjoy them with ice cream, yogurt, granola, and more!
Ingredient Notes
- Peaches – Use peaches that are just ripe without blemishes for the best result.
- Oil – We use avocado oil spray because it has a neutral taste. We don’t recommend extra-virgin olive oil here since it has a strong taste that would clash. Any neutral oil, like canola oil, sunflower oil, or vegetable oil, will also work.
- Butter – Unsalted butter; softened.
- Sugar – We use granulated sugar, but you could also use brown sugar if you prefer.
- Ground cinnamon – Adds a bit of extra flavor, but it’s fine to skip if you don’t have any on hand.
- Toppings of your choice – Optional; we like chopped nuts, granola, graham crackers, ice cream, yogurt, or whipped cream (not all at the same time)
Recipe Tips
- The peaches should be just ripe. If they are too soft, you might struggle to remove the pit without squishing the peach, and they may end up too soft once air-fried. If they are too hard (and not ripe yet), they may not taste as good and won’t be as sweet.
- The butter should be soft, or it will be difficult to mix with the sugar and cinnamon. If you don’t have any butter at room temperature, you can place it in the microwave or air fryer for a few seconds. Just don’t accidentally melt the butter – you want it to be soft, not melted!
- Keep an eye on the peaches towards the end. The sugar can go from perfectly caramelized to burnt quite quickly.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Wash the peaches and dry them well. Then cut them all around with a knife, twist them open, and carefully remove the pit.

Next, mix the soft butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl. At this time, also preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit (195 degrees Celsius).

Spray the flesh side of the peaches with a small amount of oil. If you don’t have any oil spray, you can also brush a little oil on them.
When the air fryer is hot, place the peaches flesh side down (round side up) into the air fryer. Air fry like this for 4-5 minutes.

Then flip the peaches over and place a dollop of the butter-sugar mixture into the middle (into the crater where the pit was).

Cook them for another 3-4 minutes, or until the flesh is soft and the butter-sugar mixture has slightly caramelized on top.
Once done, remove the peaches from the air fryer and serve them as is, with ice cream, yogurt, granola, whipped cream, graham crackers, chopped nuts, maple syrup, or other toppings of your choice. Enjoy!
Storage Tips
Since these peaches are best enjoyed hot and fresh, you should really only make as many as you need.
If you have leftovers, you can store them in a sealed container in the fridge. They’ll last for up to 3 days. You can eat them cold or warm them back up in the microwave or your air fryer.

Notes
- The peaches should be just ripe. If they are too ripe, they may squish when you try to remove the pit, and will get too soft once cooked. If they are too hard, they will not taste as good.
- We use avocado oil spray, but any neutral-tasting oil will work. We don’t recommend extra-virgin olive oil because of its strong taste.
- Some of the butter-sugar mixture may drip from the peaches and caramelize in the air fryer – that’s normal. It tastes delicious, so don’t just discard it without at least giving it a taste (but make sure your air fryer is clean when making the peaches – it won’t taste good if there are leftover bits of food from previous times mixed in).
- Keep an eye on them. The sugar can go from perfectly caramelized to burnt quite quickly.
