Here are the ingredients needed to make these salmon bites!

To make these easy salmon bites, here are the ingredients that you will need – there aren’t too many:

  • Salmon – Good quality, thick salmon fillets. If using skin-on fillets, remove the skin before cooking.
  • Salt – To enhance the flavor.
  • Ground coriander – For extra flavor.
  • Olive oil – For the marinade. Alternatively, you can use avocado oil, canola oil, or sunflower oil.
  • Maple syrup – To add a touch of sweetness.
  • Soy sauce – To add depth of flavor and a slight saltiness.
  • Sesame seeds – For garnish (optional).

Recipe Tips

Here are some helpful tips for you before you make these salmon bites in the air fryer:

  • You can use fresh farmed or wild salmon fillets for this recipe. If you use wild salmon, the cooking time may be slightly shorter because it typically contains less fat than farmed salmon.
  • Use thick salmon fillets that can be cut into cubes. The thickness of the salmon fillets will affect the cooking time.
  • Cut the salmon into evenly sized cubes so that they will be done cooking at the same time.
  • If the soy sauce you are using is very salty, you may want to reduce the amount of extra salt you add to the marinade.
  • For best results, let the salmon pieces sit in the marinade for a few minutes before cooking.
  • Don’t overcook the salmon as this will dry it out, but make sure that it is cooked through. The FDA recommends an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Some people use 125 degrees Fahrenheit as a guideline. If you have any questions, you can refer to the official FDA guidelines.

Storage Tips

Once you air fry salmon bites, any leftovers should be stored in a sealed container and placed in the fridge.

Properly stored, they will keep for 3-4 days, but we recommend eating the leftovers sooner rather than later.

To reheat these salmon bites, you can use the air fryer. If your air fryer has a reheat setting, you can use that.

If you do not have one, set your air fryer to 280 degrees Fahrenheit and heat the salmon bites for a few minutes until heated through.

If you want them to be slightly crispy, you can also use a higher temperature, such as 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Just don’t dry out the salmon too much.
