Craving burritos? An air fryer frozen burrito is a great way to enjoy this tasty Mexican dish without much of the hassle!
With your favorite burrito brand and your trusty air fryer, you can make frozen burritos in the air fryer in no time at all!
They are great for dipping in salsa and sour cream – but that’s up to you.

Recipe Tips/Substitutions
Before you make frozen burritos in the air fryer, have a read through these recipe tips so you get it right the first time!
- We don’t usually add any extra oil to the outside of the burrito. They end up nicely crispy without it. If you want to add some anyway, we would recommend using a spray bottle to lightly coat the burrito before placing it in the air fryer.
- The size of the burrito will affect cooking time. The burritos we use are 5oz each. If you have a larger/fatter frozen burrito, you cooking time will likely increase.
- The contents – regardless if if its meat, veggie, beans, cheese – can be very hot. Be careful when you take your first few bites!
We use this air fryer for our recipes and it has been great.

Step by Step Instructions
If you want to see how we make our air fryer frozen burritos, you can check out the very short step-by-step photos in this section.
Otherwise, just skip to the bottom of this post for the recipe card.

First, preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
When the air fryer is hot, add in the frozen burritos. There’s no need to spray them with oil first.

Cook the burritos for 13-15 minutes total. Flip them every 5 minutes to allow for even cooking. Your cook time can vary slightly by air fryer and burrito brand.
The internal temperature should be 161 degrees Fahrenheit (this can also vary by brand – so check the packaging if you’re unsure).

Once fully heated through, remove the burritos from the air fryer. Let them sit for a minute since the filling can be very hot. You can enjoy them as is or dip them in salsa and/or sour cream.
Storage Tips
Air-fried burritos taste best when they are fresh. If you have any leftovers, you can store them in a sealed container in the fridge. However, the outside will likely get a little soggy from the moisture.
To reheat, you can pop the burrito back in the air fryer or into the microwave.
The latter method will definitely make the whole thing softer but it’ll still be okay to eat the next day. Don’t let it sit in the fridge too long or else it’ll lose its appeal!
What to Serve Air Fryer Frozen Burrito With
Since all the burrito goodness is found inside, you don’t really need to serve it with anything.
Air fryer frozen burritos are, however, very dippable. You might choose to dip it into some salsa or even sour cream!

I’m new to owning an air fryer and had a Real Good Foods 8oz burrito. I did it for 15 minutes total, flipling every 5 minutes. Cooled for probably less than 5 minutes total and it was hot in the middle without being lava! Two thumbs up.
