- If you kielbasa has a skin/casing that you cannot eat, it’s best to remove it before cooking. This way, the kielbasa has the chance to cook evenly – and you don’t have to removes them later.
- There are many different types of kielbasa that can vary in thickness. As a result, your cooking time might vary slightly as well. Just keep an eye on your kielbasa and when the pieces are your desired crispiness, you’re good to go!
- We are assuming that the kielbasa you are using is already smoked, so you don’t have to worry about consuming uncooked meat. In the rare case that the sausage you are using is uncooked, make sure to fully cook it in the air fryer before consuming it!
- You can cut the kielbasa into small pieces or place the whole kielbasa coil into the air fryer. Just keep in mind that the cook time might be slightly longer if you don’t cut the Polish sausage up.
- Since sausage typically has a higher fat content it is important to use a clean air fryer. This reduces the risk of white smoke coming out of your air fryer.

Cut the kielbasa coil into 1/2 inch thick pieces. Be sure to peel the kielbasa first if there is skin/casing on it that can’t be consumed.

Next, preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the air fryer is hot, add the kielbasa in one even layer.
Make sure that there is a little space between the pieces so that they can brown evenly.

Cook the kielbasa for 8-10 minutes depending on your preferred level of crispiness. Flip the kielbasa halfway through for even cooking.

Once the kielbasa is done, remove the pieces from the air fryer and enjoy. Be careful – the sausage pieces will be hot!
You can enjoy them on their own or with crackers and cheese or a dip.
Storage Tips
You can store leftover air-fried kielbasa in a sealed container in the fridge. They’ll last for 3-4 days – but because it’s meat they should be eaten sooner rather than later.
You can enjoy the leftovers cold or toss them back in the air fryer for a few minutes or in the microwave until reheated.
