For a tasty combination dinner idea that takes very little effort, air fryer kielbasa and pierogies is a great option!
Made with just three ingredients and cooked entirely together in the air fryer, these cooked pierogies and crispy kielbasa pieces go well with a dollop of sour cream!

Ingredients

To make these pierogies with kielbasa, here are the ingredients you’ll need. It’s pretty self-explanatory!
- Pierogies – We use frozen pierogies but you could also use fresh pierogies. Just keep in mind that the cooking time will change.
- Kielbasa – You’ll need approximately 1/2 pound of kielbasa.
- Oil spray – We use avocado oil spray; to coat the pierogies before cooking. Alternatively toss in a little bit of oil if you don’t have a spray bottle.
Recipe Tips
Before you tackle this recipe, read through these tips so that you know what you have to do!
- If you like your pierogies soft, we would not recommend this recipe since they do end up getting slightly crispy.
- We use frozen pierogies for this recipe and cook them right from frozen. You could use thawed or fresh pierogies but they will be done cooking faster and the kielbasa might not be crispy enough.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer. Otherwise, the pierogies might not cook evenly and the kielbasa might not get crispy.
- The size of the pierogies can affect cooking time – our times are guidelines only and can vary.
- No matter the type of size of pierogies you have, watch the air fryer towards the end because the pierogi filling might burst out.
- We also have a recipe for just making kielbasa in the air fryer, if you’re interested! It’s really good.

First, preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit.
Next, remove the skin of the kielbasa (if necessary). Cut the kielbasa into half or quarters lengthwise then cut it into small slices.

Next, add the pieces of cut kielbasa and pierogies into a large enough mixing bowl. Spray everything with oil spray and toss until evenly coated.

When the air fryer is hot, add the oil-covered frozen pierogies and kielbasa pieces into the air fryer basket. Shake everything gently until it settles into an even layer.
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer, otherwise the pierogies might not cook evenly.

Cook the pierogies and kielbasa at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for roughly 9-12 minutes total until the pierogies are fully heated and the kielbasa is slightly crispy.
Shake the air fryer basket every 3 minutes to help with even cooking. Spray the pierogies and kielbasa with more oil spray if desired.
The exact cooking time can vary depending on your air fryer and the size of pierogies. Keep an eye on the pierogies towards the end of cooking time since they sometimes spill open.

When everything is done, remove the kielbasa and pierogies from the air fryer and serve with sour cream. Enjoy!
Storage Tips
Any leftovers can be stored in a sealed container and placed in the fridge. They’ll last for about 2-3 days like this but we’d recommend eating them sooner rather than later.
You can reheat these cooked kielbasa and pierogies in the air fryer for a few minutes at 280 degrees Fahrenheit or even in a frying pan with some oil on the stove top. Both work fine.
What to Serve Pierogies and Kielbasa With
Nothing says “I’m eating kielbasa and pierogies” like a big scoop of sour cream. Of course, a little sauerkraut would also be nice for a hit of vinegar goodness!
