- You don’t need to thaw the garlic knots first. Just add them to the air fryer from frozen.
- You can but don’t have to preheat your air fryer. If you don’t, your cook time will likely be a minute or two longer.
- Make sure the garlic knots are not touching each other in the air fryer. This was they can heat and crisp evenly.
- The exact cooking time can vary and depends on your air fryer, the brand of garlic knots you buy, and personal preference for the level of crispiness on the outside.
Step by Step Instructions
If you want to know how to make frozen garlic knots in an air fryer, you can have a look at the photos and instructions in this section.
Alternatively, you can skip down to the recipe card at the bottom of this post!
Optional: Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit. This step isn’t necessarily mandatory.
We do it because our air fryer preheats first and then starts the cook timer only once the fryer is up to the right temperature.
So, if you don’t preheat your air fryer when you begin, the cooking time will be a tad longer.
When the air fryer is hot, add the frozen garlic knots into the air fryer tray. Make sure to leave some space between them so that they can heat and rise evenly.
Cook the frozen garlic knots at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 4-6 minutes until fully heated through and lightly browned on the outside (if you didn’t preheat, it might take 1-2 minutes longer).
Flip the garlic knots halfway through the cooking time. The brand of garlic knots you use, your air fryer, and the desired level of crispiness can vary the exact cooking time.
When the garlic knots are done, remove them from the air fryer and serve them right away (but be careful, they are hot)!
Storage Tips
Air-fried frozen garlic knots are definitely best enjoyed hot and fresh out of the air fryer.
If you have leftovers, you can store them in a sealed container on the counter. Make sure to eat them sooner rather than later because you don’t want them to get stale.
You could always reheat these knots in the air fryer again but they likely won’t taste as good as the first time.
