Made in just minutes with some naan bread and a few other ingredients, this pizza comes out hot and crispy, and can be topped just the way you like it!

Air fryer naan pizza is ideal for a snack, a quick lunch, or a busy weeknight dinner. You can customize it to your liking and have fun with different combinations.

Here are the ingredients that you will need to make naan pizza in the air fryer:

  • Naan – Choose your preferred type of naan bread, e.g. original, whole wheat, or garlic naan.
  • Tomato – Use a ripe, but firm tomato. You can also use cherry tomatoes if you prefer.
  • Mozzarella ball – We recommend fresh mozzarella for a classic margarita-style naan pizza, but you can also use other cheeses.
  • Tomato sauce – A good quality tomato sauce or marinara for the base. You can also use store-bought pizza sauce if you prefer (then skip the dried herbs and salt).
  • Salt – To enhance the overall flavor; adjust to taste.
  • Dried herbs – To add extra flavor. You can use Italian seasoning or a mix of dried oregano, basil, and thyme.
  • Olive oil – For extra flavor and to help the naan bread brown.
  • Basil – Fresh basil as an optional garnish.

Recipe Tips

  • Before turning on the air fryer, make sure that the naan bread will fit. If not, cut it in half.
  • If you want your naan to be crispier, brush it with olive oil and air fry it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 minutes before adding the tomato sauce and toppings.
  • Don’t use too much sauce since it can make the naan bread soggy.
  • Instead of fresh mozzarella cheese, you can also use grated mozzarella, feta cheese, or other cheese of your choice.
  • You can customize the toppings to your liking, e.g.
    • You can add pepperoni – just keep in mind that thin pepperoni tends to fly around in the air fryer unless it is stuck down/under cheese.
    • Use feta cheese, olives, cherry tomatoes, and red onion for a Mediterranean-inspired naan pizza.
    • Use pesto sauce, cooked chicken, cherry tomatoes, and parmesan cheese for a pesto chicken naan pizza.

Place the naan pizza in the preheated air fryer.

First, make sure that the naan bread fits in your air fryer (if not, cut it in half) and preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Meanwhile, brush the naan bread with olive oil (on both sides), then spread the tomato sauce on one side and sprinkle with dried herbs and salt.

Place 2-3 slices of tomato and then 3-4 slices of mozzarella on top of each naan bread.

Cook the pizza until the cheese is melted.

Air fry the naan pizzas at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 7-9 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the pizza is cooked to your liking.

If your air fryer is small, you may only be able to fit one naan bread at a time.

Storage Tips

These air fryer naan pizzas taste best fresh while they are still warm and the naan bread is crispy, so we don’t recommend making more than you plan to eat.

If you do end up having leftovers, you can store them in a sealed container or wrapped in aluminum foil in the fridge.

They will keep for up to 3-4 days, but the naan may get slightly soggy over time (depending on the toppings) so we’d recommend eating them sooner rather than later.

You can reheat this naan pizza in the air fryer at a lower temperature, such as 280 Fahrenheit, for just a few minutes until heated through.
