Recipe Tips/Substitutions

Before you make these fingerling potatoes in the air fryer, read through the recipe tips so that you get great results.

  • You can vary the spice blend if you like. We really like garlic powder and fresh rosemary on our potatoes, but if you don’t have any rosemary on hand (fresh or dried), you can also use Italian seasoning.
  • Since every air fryer is a little different and the size of the fingerling potatoes can differ, your total cooking time might vary slightly. Just keep an eye on your potatoes for that nice crispy outer layer. You can test the potatoes for inside tenderness with a fork!

Storage Tips

Air-fried fingerling potatoes taste best when they are fresh and crispy.

If you do have leftovers, these little potatoes store well in a sealed container in the fridge. They will last for 3-4 days.

You can reheat them in the air fryer to try and get the outer crispiness back or just toss them in the microwave if you don’t mind them getting a little soft.

What to Serve Air Fryer Fingerling Potatoes With

These fingerling potatoes make a really nice potato side dish that is pretty versatile.

They go really well with lighter meats like lamb chops, salmon or pork tenderloin – this is because they are often cooked with similar spices or aromas.

You can also serve these potatoes as just one of many side dishes – bacon-wrapped asparagus comes to mind as a nice, fancier side dish option!
