If you’re looking for great breakfast meat without the fat of regular bacon, air fryer turkey bacon is for you!
Made in the air fryer in just minutes, this tasty bacon turns out crispy and delicious every time and is a nice addition to breakfast, brunch, or as an ingredient in another dish!

Recipe Tips
Before you make turkey bacon in the air fryer, read through these few tips so that you achieve the best results!
- Turkey bacon has a lot less fat content that pork bacon cooked in the air fryer. So, it is unlikely to create white smoke (from the fat) – but still keep an eye on the turkey bacon as it cooks.
- There are various brands of turkey bacon that you can buy. This as well as your air fryer and personal preference can influence the exact cooking time.
- There’s no need to preheat the air fryer first – this makes it easier to place the bacon into the air fryer without the risk of burning yourself. However, make sure to start counting the time from the time you turn the air fryer on – especially if your air fryer has an integrated preheating phase and only starts counting down the time after preheating is done (like ours does).
- Since turkey bacon is so light and thin, you might not have to flip it while cooking but you can to ensure even crisping on top and bottom.
We use this air fryer for our recipes and it has been great.

Step by Step Instructions
For step-by-step instructions on how to cook turkey bacon in the air fryer, you can follow the recipe photos in this section to see just how we did it.

Add the slices of turkey bacon into the air fryer tray in one even layer. Be sure that there is no overlap of the slices – if you can fit more than 5 slices, feel free to add more.
There’s also no need to preheat the air fryer.
However, be sure to start counting the total cooking time from the moment you turn on the air fryer, not after the preheating phase is done.

Cook the slices of turkey bacon for 8-10 minutes until crispy to your liking. This cook time can vary by air fryer, the brand of turkey bacon used, and personal preference.
Check the turkey bacon after around 5 minutes to see how it is doing (it might have moved around).
You can also flip the bacon if you think it’s necessary for even crisping, but you don’t have to.

Once the bacon is crispy to your liking, remove it from the air fryer, and enjoy! It can be a great addition to breakfast and brunch.
Alternatively, you can also use it as an ingredient in another meal like a BLT sandwich or a salad.
Storage Tips
Turkey bacon tastes best when it is eaten hot and fresh. However, you can store leftovers in the fridge in a sealed container. Properly stored, it’ll last for up to 4 days.
To reheat the bacon, you can toss it back in the air fryer for best results. The microwave will work – but it might lose some of its crispiness.
What to Serve With Air Fryer Turkey Bacon
You can serve air-fried turkey bacon like you would pork bacon – it goes well with hash browns, pancakes, or French toast!
