Recipe Tips
Before you make air fryer steak fries from frozen, read through these recipe tips so that your fries turn out awesome!
- You don’t need to spray the frozen steak fries with extra oil since they usually contain oil already. However, if you want them to get extra crispy, you can lightly spray them with some avocado oil spray before placing them into the air fryer.
- Since your brand of frozen steak fries and your air fryer will likely differ from ours, your cooking time might vary. Just keep an eye on your fries for that golden color and crispiness!
- If you want to add (seasoning) salt or other spices to your fries, do that after you cooked the fries.
We use this air fryer for our recipes and it has been great.

Step by Step Instructions
For the step-by-step instructions on how to cook frozen steak fries in the air fryer, you can check out the recipe process photos below. It’s super simple though!
If you’re feeling confident and just want the cooking times and temperatures, you can find the detailed recipe card at the bottom of this post!

First, preheat the air fryer to 385 degrees Fahrenheit.
It is not necessary to spray the steak fries with extra oil but you can if you want them to get a little extra crispy.
To do so, place the fries into a bowl, spray them with oil, and toss until evenly coated.
When the air fryer is preheated, add the frozen steak fries.
Shake them gently so that they settle in and there is as little overlap as possible.

Cook the frozen steak fries for 13-16 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Shake the air fryer basket every 5 minutes to allow for even cooking.

When done, remove the fries from the air fryer.
Place the fries in a bowl, add (seasoning) salt to taste, and toss them around until they are evenly coated.
Serve them with ketchup or another dipping sauce.
Keeping to the name, you can enjoy them with a steak but you can also enjoy them with other breaded finger foods like chicken fries or burgers such as veggie burgers or chicken patties!
Storage Tips
Air-fried steak cut fries are best enjoyed hot and fresh.
However, if you do have leftovers, you can store them in a sealed container in the fridge. They will last for around 3-4 days.
They tend to get soft (due to the moisture) and won’t be as crispy anymore but they are still okay to eat.
