Recipe Tips
We made this broccoli and cauliflower in the air fryer to test it out for you. Here are a few tips so that the recipe turns out well when you make it:
- Ideally, cut the cauliflower florets a little bit smaller than the broccoli florets since the broccoli will cook a touch quicker – this will help them be done air frying at the same time.
- Watch the broccoli closely towards the end – even an extra minute can make the florets brown noticeably.
- The broccoli and cauliflower is done when tender. You can test this with a fork.
We use this air fryer for our recipes and it has been great.

Step by Step Instructions
Here are the step by step instructions for how to make air fryer cauliflower and broccoli.

First, cut the broccoli and cauliflower into small/medium florets.

As mentioned, ideally you cut the cauliflower into slightly smaller florets than the broccoli as it will need a touch longer to cook.
By cutting it smaller, the cauliflower and the broccoli will be done at the same time.

Then rinse the florets under running water and dry them well.
At this time also preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.

Next, add the clean broccoli and cauliflower florets into a bowl. Then also add in the oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Toss until everything is evenly coated.

When the air fryer is hot, add the raw florets into the air fryer basket. Gently shake the basket so that the veggies settle into one even layer.

Air fry the broccoli and cauliflower at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-9 minutes total until tender.
Shake the basket every 3 minutes to help with even cooking.
Your exact cooking time can vary based on the air fryer you have and the size of the florets.

When done and slightly crispy, remove the florets from the air fryer and serve. Enjoy!
